Default Worms

Thank you for the info on wormers. Sorry it would not paste properly.
But i think your info shows that all wormers do not kill all worms.
The reason I posted was that I once thought that Heartworm meds did in fact kill all worm parasites. ( my bad!) Then my dog got tapeworms, even though he was on Frontline!
My vet told me that I had give Sentinel Spectrum to cover Tapeworm and most of the others. Ivermectin is not a universal killer.
So I really wondered how you as a breeder deal with the worm issue. Yes, ivermectin kills the worst of worms, Heartworm, but how do you handle the other worms? One approach is to wait until the dog is infected and then treat the specific worm, or give a universal preventive all the time. Or perhaps a universal wormer every so often?
I do think it would be very useful if we could get a table with the info you gave, as it is a more complex issue than just Heartworm. I had to look up each Heartworm med and check what it covered, a real pain!
Thanks.
