Scooter found a large, 3 foot, black snake on the patio one day. He was having the best time because he finally had something that played with him. The snake was none too happy and was hissing and trying to get away. Scooter was barking and leaping around which only made the snake more nervous. I had to interrupt this playtime and put Scooter in the house and put the snake outside. Fortunately it was a harmless black snake but we do have poisonous snakes here in Florida and although I've not seen one at this house I worry that someday Scooter will encounter a bad snake. It has to be the terrier in them that wants to go after anything that moves.
