Default Help potty pad training

My 1st Yorkie Lucy 17 months was easy to pad train. I had read how difficult Yorkies could be to house train. Well my Piper 5 months is giving me a run for my money. She is just not getting the potty pad concept or going outside. Just this week she figured out the dog door. She doesn't have a certain spot she prefers she goes when the urge strikes. I can't seem to figure out a schedule. Example, last night she slept with me. 6 hrs without going. Thought she would go first thing, nope she waited 2 and 1/2 more hours before she went. Is there something I can put on the potty pad. I have tried her own Lee when she has an accident but that hasn't helped. She was getting the idea before she got sick, but for the last 3 weeks she has used the pad once. And I'm sure that was by accident. If I interrupt her it could be an hour or longer before she finishes.

I am looking for any suggestions I think my husband is losing his patients.
