Max and Teddy's coats dried out this winter (thanks to our declining water quality), so I oiled them up with the coconut oil and let them walk around greasy for a couple days. Made a big difference when I bathed them.

I found that the higher quality coconut oils (cold pressed organic without preservatives) are more effective, especially for healing small cuts on the humans in the house. We use coconut oil rather than neosporin now.
