Am I understanding that this is a son breed to his mother pregnancy?
I do not breed dogs, so hopefully an experienced breeder chimes in. We breed sheep, and to try to avoid genetic issues, we try to keep any relations from breeding together. I always assumed dogs was the same concern, but like I said, I do not breed dogs, so I may be way off.
Waiting one day and asking the vet is a great idea if no one else chimes in. One day late on heartworm meds is not a big concern.
