A former YT member, Steve, has 2 Yorkies who love snake hunting. He is in Illinois like you, Karen, Chicago suburbs, so little chance of a poisonous snake.
My Teddy I'm sure would love to go after a snake. He enjoys chasing bugs. We found him swatting at a wasp that had gotten into the house.
