How old are you and your sister?
I have two yorkies. Teddy & Lola, they are brother and sister from the same litter. It's definitely not that easy to have two. Sure they won't be lonely when you guys go out to do things as a family or as teenagers, but that doesn't make it ok to leave them all the time. They are basically children and will take up all your free time, take away from your sleep, they will poop, pee and sometimes throw up all over your floor, bed, couch, ect. Accidents happen. Vet care they need their vaccinations, wellness exams, spay/neuters, if any health issues or injuries arise that's an emergency visit which can be quite costly. You'll need pet insurance for both. The list can go on...if your dad is just now agreeing to get you a puppy after 10 years, I would just be happy with that and not ask for more. You can give it a try, but I would do the same things that Mayzoo and Magnus suggested save up your own money to put toward the other puppy and come up with a contract.
Good luck! |
