Does your reg. vet know about the liver issue. Blood work should be done before surgery to ensure the liver can filter the anesthesia, this should be done several days before the surgery. Check with the vet to see if this blood work was taken since you were working with an ER clinic and your vet. Talk to your vet about your pups eating habits, a good vet will not spay a dog if she is not in good health.
