I'm kind of in the same boat. Colby is now 7mo. Getting him to eat is ridiculous. He will straight up refuse to eat for days at a time. I asked around here, at my vet and another local vet, internet searches, everywhere I can get information. General consensus wast that I needed to pick a food, whatever that food is and stick to it. I tried a homemade recipe of chicken and rice with supplements, he will eat the chicken rice mixture without the supplements(that he needs). Settled on Stella and Chewy's chicken mixers that I slowly added into the rice. Was working out nicely, finally got him on only the Stella and Chewy's because he needed the nutrients. He is on another hunger strike again. I'm afraid he's already too skinny. But he is over 10lbs so vet says wait. He will eat. I'm at a loss. this is getting stressful and expensive. |
