Hopefully it is nothing serious. Often vets see things on xrays that are really not as awful as thought....your vet is smart to have a radiologist review it.

I had an issue similar to this in March of this year. My vet told me that my Rookie had a large tumor in his spleen/liver area .. most likely hemangiosarcoma. I was mortified. He referred Rookie to the specialist who said he had an enlarged liver, but there was no mass. The radiologist agreed. He ended up in ICU because he was losing protein and they scoped him. He has lymphangectasia. No cancer! He is doing well now.

So....try to think positive until the radiologist views the xrays. Please keep us posted!
