You can say that again. After todays specialist visit we are about $50 short of 4 grand for the year. You never know what is going to happen with any breed but the small breeds, IMO, require more care. A shelter sounds like a great place to start if the budget is tight. It could save some money and you could provide a home to a furbaby that is just waiting to love you forever.
