Each of my boys has been through this once. Pumpkin (the kind without spices) helped Max, plus a warm body soak, plus exercise -- walking outdoors. Teddy had it so bad that I thought he had hurt his back. We rushed him to the ER and the doctors were in surgery, so we went outside to wait. He was so excited that he worked out his problems.
I recommend the walking most, if Snickers is able to.
