Is this a pup you have purchased? 8 weeks is young so you do want to be sure the pup is eating often to avoid hypoglycemia. I know there are multiple breeders here that I'm sure will come along with better advice. There are a lot of resources here and I'm sure you are learning to navigate the forum but there are stickies (information notes) on the main page that are full of great information.
