On this board, in the "yorkies for sale area" (TX) there is a shelter/rescue worker that posts fairly regularly with yorkies and yorkie mixes for adoption. Some are pure that were owner turn ins. She said it is $20.00 plus spay/neuter to adopt them. I just paid $68.00 at a vet to have my little guy neutered in May. They will not have papers in almost all cases, but not everyone cares if they have papers on their pets.
She/he seems like a legit shelter/rescue worker and I would suspect there is a shelter/rescue or two near this poster she can at least look into. I got my little guy (he is a mix) at a pound for a total of $78.00, and I would not trade him for anything. He is now one less "stray" that will be put down and he is now happy, and productive.
