 Graston
I was intrigued with the laser and Graston treatments. The laser I can somewhat understand as a local heating of the tissue to relieve swelling etc. I had never heard of the Graston technique and looked it up. It seems to be a special kind of deep tissue massage using certain metal tools to massage rather than hands. There is a utube video showing this and to me the pressures exerted by the metal tools look painful! I wonder if only chiros do this and if others can also do so? The claims are very impressive and worth looking into. Could be only certain injuries and conditions can benefit? |
