At one time I had two unspayed girls, not used to breed, when they came into season I saw no change in them what so ever. They were still sweet little girls and did not fight with each other, however, not all dogs react the same way, this is just my experience with two unspayed females. I also marked my calendar when they came into season, then marked my calendar 6 months in advance to remind me to start checking them. Mine came into season like clock work, every 6 months. Their heat cycle was exactly 3 weeks.
