A trip to the groomers and $10 seems like a lot for something so simple that you can do yourself at home. As long as you keep the long hair trimmed with a pair of scissors between grooming visits it will prevent any "dingle berry's" Just hold his tail up and cut away the long hair around his anus and down about an inch or two.
