I only allow one female in my pack! I have 3 male dogs. I have a 9 year old Yorkie, a yorkie puppy and my husband's 5 year old English Setter. All 3 are male. My daughter has a female Yorkie puppy, the only girl in the house. I find it more peaceful.

Now, some people can make several females work in their house. If you can be alpha female you can probably handle it. I am alpha in my house, but so far Raksha has not challenged me.

I find the easiest is a male and male pair or a male and female pair, or a female and more than one male works good for me. Some people feel differently though.
