I have 3 Yorkies. Only 2 are actually mine, as one is my daughter's, but since she lives at home we have 3 here.

I started with Teek. He was 9 years old when he came to me in January and he loved the one on one attention I gave him. I took him everywhere with me that I could. He spent 4 months being my baby.

Then we got the puppies (siblings) and at first I thought I broke Teek's heart. He wouldn't come near me at first. He wouldn't go near the puppies. He just stayed on the back of the couch and even if I would take him for a walk alone or take him downstairs to watch tv with me he didn't want to be with me.

However, after a few weeks the puppies intrigued him so much he started following them around. Once they learned not to pounce on him so much they started to get along. He spends the most time with my puppy and they sleep on my bed together and honestly Teek is a happier Yorkie than he was a month before I got the puppies, even though he was living a pretty good life with me.

Not all dogs adapt that well to new puppies, but Teek is younger acting and happier. I still give him one on one time and love on him a lot.
