Glad you are on the mend! We used to tell our patients to take it slow and easy....at the end of every day, try to make it a point to have done "just ONE more", exercise/movement/etc...."just one more" each day....one more bite of food, one more glass of beverage, one more step down the hall, one more minute on the treadmill or exercise bike or whatever you are doing....."just one more"......
Wrangling things hat slide back and forth are hard on my neck for some reason. I had a slanted table that the laptop sat on for a while and it hurt my neck to use it so I gave it away - put the laptop on the chest that sits to the left of the couch.

Ah, Judy, until the last couple of years I've always been one of those that does 10 more things every day and my friends and even the doctor has to dial me back. That's always been my trouble - overdoing EVERYTHING I've ever done and fretting if I don't excel. By bedtime, I'd usually fall into bed overly exhausted. But these last 2 years have been a grind and I've gotten what the doctor calls "frail". At least with the cancer gone, the gross fatigue has left! Now I'm just good and tired at the end of the day - not wiped out but I still do and go to excess. Just can't seem to hold any weight or much strength. Got down to 112 in the hospital, gained to 116 week B4 last and was back to 113 last Thursday! Doc says I'm frailer than he likes for 5'4"but said give it a while longer and I should begin to gain weight/strength. Lifting Tibbe is wearing me out, not pumping me up - haha. He's had a sore leg or paw and can't jump at all and we've got to get him well so I can get well! I seem to take 10,000 steps a day going up and down the hall of this house, in and out of rooms and out into the yard and all of it sometimes on two canes as now my left hip needs replacing and the right one was never right - needs a re-do. Seems the bone didn't grow in around the nodes or things on the implant. So there's that. Still yucky orthopedic times but am thankful no cancer treatment though I've still got to see the colon oncologist for the final say on that. Tibbe keeps me smiling and laughing out loud every day though. A Yorkie is always the best medicine - if I could just keep this one of mine well!
