We adopted Mario from a shelter that had him for about 3 weeks. They did not know his history. They had been calling him Mario the whole time. We decided the little guy had enough big changes to deal with so we kept his name the same. He seems to love it and now that I see him zoom around the house/yard, he reminds of Mario Andrete, so it seems to fit.
