Be thankful......you dodged a HUGE bullet!!! PLEASE, read up and pay close attention to what you should be looking for in a Yorkie puppy, and anyone that is selling one. MOST states require the baby be at least 8 weeks old before it can be sold. Reputable, experienced breeders will NOT sell a Yorkie before 12-14 weeks of age....mommas are working with their babies, teaching them all the social skills that make these babies fabulous pets and companions......and teaching them how to socially interact with other dogs, a skill which could keep your puppy from getting mauled by an older dog.....
Please read reputable books about owning a Yorkie....know what you are getting into before you get into it....know what to look for, what to expect, what is acceptable behavior from a reputable breeder versus a back yard puppy pusher. You should know your breeder and your breeder should know you. This little happening you just experienced was God looking out for you!! You lucked out!!! NO reputable breeder peddles her babies off at 7 weeks of age....they are peddled off at that age so the profit margin is greated for the "breeder"....no shots, no worming, no nothing....and if they say the puppy HAS been started on shots, it was done incorrectly and too early.....shot was ineffective.
Please get really educated on what you should be looking for when you purchase your Yorkie at 14 weeks of age...should have at least 2 in the series of puppy shots given, should have started on a worming program, paper trained, microchipped are super extras..... Get as familiar with what you should know when buying a Yorkie puppy as you would if you were going to buy a car. If that car dies on you, that can be fixed....if that puppy dies on you......
You may have actually lucked out....that little puppy may have already been sick and died before they could off load it on an unsuspecting buyer...............
