We got Ziggy at 10 weeks old. He stayed in an ex pen during the day, but he has slept in a crate every night since we brought him home. For the first couple weeks, I'd put him in his crate around 10 or 10:30 and I'd set my alarm to wake up around 2:30 or 3 to take him out. After a couple weeks, I woke up a little later. I kept extending the time period until I was not waking up until around 7. He will wake me up if he really has to go, but that does not happen often. He had a couple of accidents in the beginning, but they were my fault for not taking him out in time. I started working again when he turned 5 months old, so he now stays in an enclosed space in the hallway without any accidents. |
