 Dazed and Confused!
Hi! This is my first post, and follows a very sad incident. My 9 yr old son and I were going to look at a Yorkie puppy and possibly buy it. I felt a few red flags as the breeder was having them all leave at 7 weeks, as opposed to the recommended 10-12 weeks, and she didn't seem overly concerned that I knew nothing about dogs, let alone tiny puppies. She promised that she would let me know if any one else was interested, and then cancelled the day we were coming out. I rescheduled for the next day, and then she told me she works with an agency and when they sell one her pups she has to agree to it, and she sold the puppy!
It felt dishonest and weird.
In a way, I can see there might possibly have been some socialization issues with the puppy, but what makes it so hard to let go of is that it had a white body and regular Yorkie colors around its eyes, which made it incredibly cute. I haven't seen that before and don't see any others like that.
Any thoughts out there?
