Default Storms

I feel for you Diana, your dog sounds like mine in storms and similar noisy situations. Nothing works for him, he runs around the house like it is being invaded and runs to every door trying to get the demons. I have not tried meds, but don't like that idea. Also it is hard to know when the noise will come in a storm etc. I know Cesar had such a dog and he had a van with equipment that could play all kinds of sounds and slowly increased the sound level over several days until the dog accepted the loud noises. But I can't see my doing this procedure! I too would be grateful for any techniques other than meds that might help. It is so distressing to watch my dog when he is so distraught and I cannot help him. As you say, the distress goes on long after the noise has passed. Poor babies.
