At 5 months old I would not switch her food. When she transitions to adult food I would then get what you want her to be on. If she is doing good on this food there is no point in changing it when she will have a food change coming up in a few months. Some vets recommend around 8-10 months switching them over to adult food. So, what you and your vet decide is the right time to switch her to an adult food I would then purchase the one you want her to be on and take 7-10 days to switch her over to it slowly.

I have 6 month old puppies and I would not change their food until they are ready to go on adult food and then I will do it and put them on a better quality than what they are on (what they were on when I got them).
