Deer ticks carry the Lyme disease, Deer tick is the size of a sesame seed. You did good by cleaning the bite site with alcohol, I would have followed up with cleaning the area with peroxide as well. The bite area has healed, your dog is not showing any symptoms, he is good. When you remove an engorged tick there may be a small bump at the bite site, just keep an eye on that area, if it gets red means infection is starting and should be taken to your vet. You should also keep the removed tick. I learned a little tick here on YT. When you remove a tick place it in alcohol it will die with in seconds. I keep a small jar with alcohol (covered with a lid) in it for just in case, there are times I will find a tick on my dog. I keep the tick for a couple of weeks in case my dog gets an infection I have the dead tick to bring to the vet. My dog gets a lime disease vaccination, I live in a heavily wooded area and we have a lot of deer.
