Usually we can get our top knot hair bands out, but sometimes we have to cut out the rubber band. Jahryn had one that she had to cut the band in several places and take it out in pieces. She was able to save the top knot hair though and that is what we wanted, the rubber band came off in about 6 pieces though.
Also, try a little detangler sprayed on the top knot hair and then work it in with your fingers and try to remove the band then. It usually slides off pretty well with the detanger in the hair.
We usually only leave a top knot in for 2 days tops and then remove the band and pull it up again to avoid it getting too tangled.
