I would definitely contact the vet on this one.

I have only seen what look like chemical burns on my animals (I discontinued use after it happened) which was in fact on a cat that I used a flea product on. Not sure on the brand as this was probably 8 years ago.

Never heard about it making them thirsty, but maybe a vet has heard of it.

I hope she is doing better.
