That said, people who produce off colors are not good breeders. Sure, there could be some out there who are health testing and trying to breed that off color to standard (other than color). Those are few and far between. You're supposed to be bettering the breed, not breeding out of standard.

I was added to a bunch of yorkie facebook groups and I was sickened to see the amount of backyard breeders and/or "greeders" who were boasting about the puppies they just purchased who were going to be their future breeders. The puppies had no other purpose in life but to breed and make that person money. It's gross. That's not a life for a dog. I of course had to leave those groups because they made me so angry!

If I was looking for a puppy from a breeder, I'd find a nice show breeder who health tests and does things with their dogs and ask about a pet quality puppy. Shouldn't be too hard to find. You're going to be paying the same for that well bred puppy as you will a puppy from a backyard breeder.
Exactly. In my area you may save $200-300 going to a Backyard breeder who doesnt even know the lines and just pumps out puppies. Many breeding.Vs a good breeder. Who is trying to get the best quality breeding and may breed the female 2-3 times most.
