Morning crying My Yorkie Abby is 15, she has lost most of her hearing and also has cataracs, she also has to pee in the middle of the night. One year ago I had to go away for 2 days, I left her with my neice, she told me that she cried/whinned every night, Abby had not done this ever before. Next morning around 5-6 am Abby was doing it, and kept doing it every morning for months and months. It seemed like she was lonely or scared, like you I can't have her in bed overnight because she will fall off or pee in the bed. I put her bed next to mine, and when she was upset in the morning I would get up and take her out and then I would have a pee pad under her blanket on my bed and put her in with me until I was ready to get up, she still would cry abit but seemed to stop and then she would sleep for about another hour and a half. I know she was not crying because she had to go pee because sometimes she would have already gone pee on her pee pads, on the floor. She is still doing this abit, but it is much better since I put her in bed with me. I think with 2 of her senses, eyes and ears not being so great, she gets scared and needs some reasurrance we are there and everything is ok. If you can let me know how things are going. |
