Oh my goodness lol, how sweet is that. Even tho he was trained from a puppy to sleep down stairs, he's getting older, getting confused, he has no voice to ask momma why can't I see well anymore. You are his source for everything, food, love, cuddles, protection, I believe he needs the security of knowing you are near him. I know what I went through with my senior, she passed at 17 y/o.
