I have 2 service dogs, they are legit. My 22 yr old son has autism and M.R. We trained Suzi to be his service dog who is our Yorkie Suzi. He can now take pretty good care of her with assistance, Suzi never leaves his side . We obtained a detailed letter from My son's psyhatrist. to have her, service dogs can be trained by the owner, to do specific tasks. They do not need professional training. However, I think it is a good idea especially when their are serious disabilities .
My other service dog is for me, she is also legit. She's a Shih Tzu, which assists me with multiple psychiatric disabilities. It may seem like my son and I are a mess however, with the service dogs they are a blessing.
