My now passed girl, when a friend of mine picked her up buy putting their hands around her middle she yelped, several weeks later she had to go to the vet for something, my regular vet was not on call that night, this vet for what ever reason picked her the same way my friend did and she yelped, the vet said Pancreatitis, test were ran and that's what she had. I would still take your baby to the vet, always better to be safe then sorry.
