Same here, never conditioned, although Buddy Belts recommends it.
Buddy Belts also recommends laying the harness flat to dry if it does get soaked. Don't put it in intense sun or heat. They had a customer who put one in the back window of a car in the sun and it shrunk.
They also caution against salt water and the potential to rust the hardware. Wipe down the hardware with fresh water and dry to help prevent rust.
