I love their names. My husband's softball nickname is Mario because he keeps on going and never runs out of energy. He was the oldest guy on the team several years ago and he could outrun all but the guys 21 and under. Guys 10-15 years younger than him couldn't keep up. With his mustache he got the nickname Mario and it has stuck ever since.
We wanted to take both, but they were very attached to each other. That may have caused an issue with Mario properly bonding with kiddo as he needs to as a service dog. We got him to be her dog primarily, and with her having autism, it would have been easier for Mario to just continue getting his affection from Luigi rather than from her. As it stands, he bonded quickly to both kiddo and I, and slowly bonded to hubby. We believe he was abused before we got him. All the signs are there .

I did keep checking up and told everyone I knew about Luigi, and he was adopted a week later.
