No - dogs can't catch our colds.
But - your little guy sounds like something is wrong with him. Hopefully, it is something that will be totally gone by tomorrow. If it continues - you'll have to visit the vet - darn!
My dogs and cats occasionally throwup for no good reason. They might have eaten something that didn't agree with them that day, eaten too quickly, or whatever. Anyway - they are never sick when they do this - they are just making a mess for me to clean up!!!! And, they do it only occasionally.
