I tried using puppy pads, but she would use it once out of 10 times. she would go around but not on it. we took her out on the leash and she would walk and sniff forever then go if we were lucky. once we got our fence fixed after all the hurricanes we started to let her go out and run for a bit, then she would go. she is doing wonderful now, it took a year. funny though when she went in heat she started having accidents all over the house for the first few days.
