Thankfully Max was a sturdy pup and had no problems. Now that I know more, I would never allow this.

2004 I took my then two girls for their vaccines, I really don't remember what they were, but, they were vaccines that they always had in the past. Before I get to see the vet I am handed a form to fill out and sign. The form is releasing the vet from any reactions the dogs may have from these shots, I am now in a panic, say why these forms, I never had to fill these out in the past, the receptionist tells me it's a new procedure, I tell her now I am not sure I want to get the shots because it seems dangerous, the receptionist assures me the shots are safe, in the form it stated the dog may get a reaction to vaccine, well, they needed the shots, they had never gotten a reaction from any vac, so I signed the form. Both dogs received the vacs it was 2 maybe 3, not sure it's so long ago. I put the dogs on the floor and my older one starts to fall over, she can't stand, I shout for the vet, my dog was experiencing a reaction to the vaccines, with multi vacs you would never know which one affected them. They tell me they will give a reverse injection, I had to leave her for 4 hours. She was fine when I picked her up, she was 12 y/o my other one Mathese was 6 y/o and she was fine with the vacs they both received. With that experience and since joining YT and learning multi vacs are not always a safe thing to get, with Cody this will not happen, NO multi shots for him, I'll pay the extra office visit for the other shot or shots.
