RIP to my Troy but he was named after Troy Bolton (Zach Efron's character from High School Musical). My daughter picked the name because at the time she was only 6 and that was what she was into.
After Troy's passing we went through scenarios of what kind, sex, names of dogs and Emma was the name for a female dog we were considering. I actually didn't go with that breed of dog but when I got notice that we were getting a little female yorkie, I told the breeder Emma since that's what we agreed on. It was a few weeks before we were going to bring her home but when I pulled up (surprised) my daughter with the puppy she was like what's her name. I say Emma and she just looks and smiles.
