I think Joni stepped on an ant or maybe something worse on our walk. She suddenly sat down and started flicking her hind foot then trying to lick and chew it. Got her home and examined it for briar or stinger - nothing. Applied cold wet washcloth then submersed her foot in cold water. It seems to be letting up now - she wants to play ball. But what should I watch for? Should I give her Benadryl? She's 5.5#. Tks!!
