Your female if indeed this is a proven stud will not mate with a female who is not ready. Did you do the hormone testing on your female to see if her levels were right for mating?


And my experience with my studs is while they will show interest in a female and even signal about 1 month in advance this bitch is going into heat their interest increases crescendos over time until she is in Standing Heat. And yes they won't leave her along then - and life is hell for those few days.


I don't understand why Yorkie breeders don't do more AI - that is safest way to mate. And in our small community I expect to host the owner of the female during the duration of when we shall mate these two dogs. And the dogs are never left alone to mate - although now as I have said we go to AI much more frequently.
