I use saucers. They are the right size with just a small indentation in the middle. You can usually find a whole stack of them at any thrift store. I just use the ones that came with my dish set that I got 20 + yrs ago. We have never used the cups or saucers in all those yrs. Now I have a use for the saucers at least.
