What do you mean by tip? Trimming the ear hair? I personally would trim the ear hair, but wouldn't tape, unless I was showing. I doubt if he's done teething, do you mean he has all his adult teeth?. Many Yorkies ears droop around 6 months because the calcium need for the teeth comes from the cartilage in the ear. Standard grooming calls for the top half of the ear to be shaved front and back.
