[QUOTE=evthompson;4584624]Thanks, Gema. I'm fine with an Ontario breeder. We just moved back to Ontario from Alberta a few months ago. I just happened upon this site and thought I would check them out. I've contacted Rigair, Durrer, and a few others. No one had puppies and a few didn't respond. I'm not in a hurry so I thought I'd check out a few that were further away. With show breeders, they are accessing their puppies for show potential and breeding potential before anything is offered for sale, which only makes sense. I am not sure yet if I want to show or not. It's something we are considering. So I'm taking my time and doing due diligence. Any information would be appreciated.

Actually this past wkend I met some folks from Alberta who just moved here. You don't happen to own a s**tszu? We were at Wasaga Beach for the day.
It is very good to take your time if you are thinking of breeding. We have a lot of articles in the library about breeding. The good and the challenge and risks of breeding. \\
You will need to prove yourself to a breeder before they will even consider placing a female or male for breeding in your care. Why not come to the show in Pickering at the end of the month? Ilona will be there probably Tanya her partner and Irina who is a young breeder with a gal I really like the looks of.
www.canuckdogs.com you can look up the event there and in say next Wednesday find the judging schedule of when the Yorkies are showing.
I will be there showing my Black Russian - but am very open to helping you understand what is going on in the ring. As long as Blackies and YT are not showing at the same time.
If you are interested just private message me with your contact info email and or cell phone and we can set something up
