Mucous and blood are indications of irritation in the intestines. My boys will occasionally have a little mucous if they have eaten something they shouldn't, like leaves or grass.
Blood is more troubling, as are frequent bouts of mucous.
Does your Yorkie eat chew treats or something else that could be irritating her system?
Blood and mucous can also be associated with illnesses like irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatitis, giardia (sometimes difficult to diagnose).
