Thanks for the responses. As I said previously, he was bred as a show dog, and trimming all of that hair, isn't an option. Bathing, yes, trimming, no. He just laid down right beside me, by the way.

He has to go Wednesday, and I'm just dreading it. I do have a bigger carrier, that I could put them both in..that might help. I might cut down on the visits , too. I've been taking him monthly, but might change it to 6 weeks, like I used to do with my little Yorkie girl.

I think I'm going to try the bigger cage, and cut down on the trips, and do some of it at home, so I won't take him as often.

My little female Yorkie was a real cutie, but she didn't have the "show" coat that he has, so she was easier to take care of, bathe, etc. I have him cut shorter on the sides, but leave the face pretty long. I mean, what's the sense of having a show quality Yorkie, if he doesn't look a little bit like one?

But, I tell you, otherwise he's a real sweetie. Now, my Maltese is laying on me. They've got the life! But, my Yorkie has been everything that I've wanted in a little buddy, up to this point. And, I just can't imagine a dog being more attached to me.

I never dreamed I'd own a dog of this quality. Unfortunately, I've made the decision that he's the last pet I'll ever own. So, I hope he lasts as long as I do!
