Food for serious thought!!! I was taking mine to a groomer that charged me a fortune, but all my dogs adored this place....then one day, someone screwed up the appointments and the place was overbooked....not just a couple of dogs overbooked but almost 3 times as many dogs were booked for that day! If they would have told me when I got there that they had screwed up the books and it may take much longer for my babies to be done,I simply would have rescheduled....but they said NOTHING, until I called them at 5pm because I had not heard anything and I had a tiny little boy that HAD to eat every 4 hours or he had seizures....horrific, long story cut to the bone, my dogs were finished at 8pm that night, and they were all horribly traumatized by the experience, especially my tiny little precious little boy Bumper....he was sooooo traumatized, that whenever I even turned the water on in the sink for ANY reason, he would throw his head back and gasp for air, eyes HUGE in terror, and look like he was being drowned, standing in the middle of the kitchen floor!!!! That was the end of groomers for my dogs....I learned to do it myself, and since mine do not go anywhere and dont have to look like a million dollars, it worked well for us! Hopefully, your baby did not experience a traumatic experience at the groomer....remember, it could be ANY trauma....water hose gets loose and sprays water suddenly in their face, water comes on too hot initially, maybe something in those drying cages if your groomer uses those, it could be ANYTHING that frightened him. But then it could just as easily be "your other dog" thing....preferential treatment idea!!! Could they both go in a larger carrier on the way to the groomer, instead of leaving the Yorkie in a crate and the other baby gets to ride with "parents"!!!
