NEVER be afraid that a question sounds "ignorant".....this is an important thing you are trying to figure out, it involves the health of your baby and even the LAW in some States, so dont worry!! I am confused also by that piece of paper you have....I can not tell if the Neopar was the first in the series of "puppy shots" or if it was STRICTLY against parvo....they have a whole series of vaccinations now at NeoPar, so that information is important to know.
If I were you, I would call the breeder and ask her...."Was the NeoPar shot she got, strictly for parvo or is it one of the series of shots given?" (The one that protects strictly against parvo is given at 4 weeks old, or should be, according to the vet that "invented" it...) If it is the first in the series, just curious why the second shot was not also from NeoPar....why did she change companies? Personally, I dont mix and match my vaccines....
Your baby will be a year old in another 3 months...
.if this pup is indoors and not cruising all over town, in shopping carts, in petfood stores, walking along trails and sidewalks, picking up every disease put down by every other dog foot in the area, you are going to be fine. When pup is a year old, take her in for her annual vaccinations, I would wait a little longer for another rabies shot, then you are done with your core vaccinations for 3-7 years! Bordetella (kennel cough) is given every 6 months or every year, depending on your vet, and if YOU choose to give it....I do not give it but my dogs are not out in public, at groomers, etc.....I WOULD suggest you insist on the shot rather than the nose drops,
which uses a live virus, as it seems the nose drops seems to have a propensity to be followed with a coughing pup that then needs meds to get over that!
You showed that paper to the people giving the vaccinations and she told you what you needed....another short 3-4 months, and you can repeat her annual booster shot and you are done!
