I'm looking for answers as to why our 7 yr. old male 5 lb. Yorkie (not neutered) is all of the sudden starting to pee everywhere in the house. We have all hardwood floors and haven't had problems until recently (the past few months anyway).

We've had Murphy since a pup and he's always gone on pee pads and never outdoors. Recently though we find him peeing on the floors, next to where we find hocked up hair balls/vomit by the two indoor cats we also have.
We recently spent 12 days away from him and relatives and neighbors stopped in daily and spent time with them, changed the pads, fed, etc. We are thinking he was getting back at us for being away from him for so long??....simply marking his territory?.....IDK....just grasping for any resolution to this problem. He's even pee'd on our coffee table and end tables.
He's raised his leg right in front of us before we stopped him, although he still does use the pee pads, just not 100% of the time.
Does anyone have any solution to housebreak this boy? Looking for constructive advice.
